Are you looking for an “at home” ministry? We have been given an opportunity to distribute clothes to the less fortunate, ie, Bread of Life, MOM, Mexico, etc. We will need some helpers Thursday to sort, fold and get things ready to go. We could also use rotating drivers for pick up. Please call Pat Reilly if you would like to be part of this exciting new ministry.
Every Christian is called to be a missionary. And “mission trips” take us deeper in our walk with Christ and tend to radicalize us as disciples of Jesus. Our church participates in two Oceanside ministries each month–this is an easy way to do a “short Mission trip”!
We really need people to fold clothes on Wednesday afternoons. Come to the CAC-B and give it a try. Call Pat Reilly
(dinner soup kitchen ministry)on the 3rd Mondays
Call Judy Saunders
(breakfast for homeless) on the 4th Fridays
This is a great way to share God’s love with the less fortunate. Call Chris Walls to sign up or for more info.
You can give a young Malawi orphan life, hope and a future! By sponsoring an orphan for just $35/month, you can provide a child with a healthy meal every day, pay for school and medical care, and provide a daily after-school program of Bible instruction and Christian discipleship, health & hygiene, and personal tutoring. One in 10 Malawi children are orphans. Raised by poor relatives, they often suffer from neglect, malnutrition, and a host of preventable diseases.
Our Miqlat-Malawi ministry has helped organize an Orphan Care Project in the village of Kogoya with a team of committed Christian teachers, cooks, healthworkers, and caregivers under the direction of a Malawi pastor who has worked for World Vision for 11 years. Giving these kids life and a future–through your generous and personal participation in this ministry–is making the love of Jesus real. What are we doing to change the world? We are taking care of 400 orphans in a village in Africa in the name of Jesus! After church today on the patio our Malawi mission team will give you an opportunity to “adopt” these orphans. The church session has unanimously approved this project. Please consider giving (checks will be written to Miqlat Orphan Care Project) after you have honored your regular tithe to support the ministries or our local missions.
