Children's Ministries at FPC

AWANA
, a fun and stimulating after-school Bible memory program will meet from 3:30 – 5 p.m. on Thursdays, beginning Sept. 20th. Children ages three through sixth grade will be using most of the church for outdoor games, large group councils and small group memory recitation. This is a new program for our church, and we believe our children and many community children will make FPC the place to be on Thursdays.  Parents: Please register your children on the patio ASAP so that we know how much/many materials and leaders we will need.

SO WHAT? I hope that is not what anyone is thinking! Parents depend on us to provide safety, nurture and a good Christian foundation for their kids. It takes a whole lot of people to do that. The loving and living faith that YOU demonstrate is what is needed in each of these programs to help our children and their parents. Please talk to Laila if you would like to participate, or if you are even thinking there might be a place for you in any of the programs above. You ARE needed, and you will be blessed as you become a blessing.

Los Amigos Tutoring
English-speaking Latino children who have very limited homework help at home are tutored one-on-one by this wonderful group of loving adults. We schedule quarterly field trips to enrich the lives of these children who seldom leave town otherwise.  We are beginning our tenth year of tutoring on Tuesday, Sept. 11th. Training for all previous and new tutors will take place on Sept. 4th at 2:30 p.m.

Sunday School
Our Fall Sunday School begins September 2nd. Infants are under the excellent care of Linda Shirey and her staff in our dreamy nursery cottage. If you haven’t been by, stop in to see one of the most beautiful areas on our church campus. Our preschoolers (children ages two through kindergarten) meet in the yellow, red and blue door rooms of the preschool facility. Elementary ages have downstairs classrooms. Mandatory (!) teacher training took place on August 26th

FREE Money for Children's Ministry
A hassle-free way to support our church is to register for our eScrip program. Local and national merchants reward your customer loyalty by contributing a percentage of your shopping dollars directly to FPC. If you shop at Major Market, Payless Shoes, Carl's Jr., Big 5 Sporting Goods, Macy's, Von's, Safeway, or dozens of other participating stores, your dollars can be helping our church as you shop.

How? Log on to scrip.com and go to "Sign up" Designate Fallbrook Pres to receive your contributions. Register your grocery club card and /or your debit/credit cards (the account is secure). Then each time you swipe your card to make a purchase, a donation is generated!

Please see Laila with any questions or to see a list of participating merchants. Don't have a computer? Don't know how to use one? If you would like Laila to do the registration for or with you, just ask!
